Lead instructor, French
Wanjiku has taught professional French in Nairobi for twelve years, most of it with evening cohorts of lawyers and NGO staff. She prepares candidates for DELF and DALF and runs the conversation meetups after class.

Daniel trains teachers and university applicants in academic English. His sessions drill the four IELTS papers with real timing, and he marks practice tests the way the exam board does, with no guessing at what the examiner wants.

Mei Ling grew up in Nanjing and has taught Mandarin in Nairobi for six years. Her HSK sessions follow the exam’s own rhythm: characters first, then the listening speed most learners underestimate.

Fatuma teaches Kiswahili to journalists and diplomats, and coordinates the heritage sessions: Dholuo, Gikuyu, Luhya and Kikamba. She also writes the Kiflaps proficiency assessment for local languages.

Hiroshi has taught Japanese for nine years, from first kana to JLPT N2. He leads the Japanese culture evenings at Kendahouse: shodo calligraphy, JLPT question clinics, and tea between the two.

Esther is a native KSL user who has taught workplace sign language for eight years. Her sessions put hearing colleagues in deaf trainers’ rooms as early as week two, the fastest way to stop treating the language like a code.

Sofia teaches Spanish in the mornings and Italian in the evenings, mostly to professionals relocating to Madrid or Milan. Her DELE groups sit the practice papers under exam conditions before the real thing.

Lena runs the German track for engineers preparing to relocate: Goethe and TestDaF, plus the paperwork vocabulary nobody teaches: contracts, landlord letters, recognition of qualifications.
