Study areas

Two ways to spend your year here.

Twenty languages on one side, six professional routes on the other. One application form covers both, and most people who thrive here end up taking a piece of each.

Area two

0

Professional

Routes into work that runs on practice: aviation, tourism, hospitality, marine engineering and civic facilitation. Fees, durations and intake counts are confirmed with admissions rather than published, because these programmes schedule differently from the language ladder.

Choosing

The honest way to choose between them.

I need the language for work or study

Employers, universities and embassies ask for proof in a named language: English, French, Mandarin, German. The Languages area ends in a CEFR level and an exam pathway you can point at.

I want the trade around the language

Cabin service, front-office work, guiding, tour operations, marine engineering, civic facilitation. The Professional area trains the role itself, and language is the upgrade you add beside it.

I want both

The common pairing: a professional programme plus the language its industry actually speaks. Front Office with English, guiding with French, marine engineering with maritime English.

The view from admissions

Not sure is a legitimate answer.

Half the people who write to us know the outcome they want and not the route. Say what you are aiming at: a job, an exam, a relocation, a family language you never learned properly. Admissions will name the area, the level and the round that fit, within one working day.
